A course of six lectures given in Lent 2005 to second year undergraduates consisting of a consideration of the nature of phonological systems, an introduction to the principles of sound change and a description of the major sound changes which occurred in Greek and Latin. This lecture course was based on lectures given by Dr Rupert Thompson and Professor John Killen.
