γυνὴ γὰρ τἄλλα μὲν φόβου πλέα
κακή τ’ ἐς ἀλκὴν καὶ σίδηρον εἰσορᾶν·
ὅταν δ’ ἐς εὐνὴν ἠδικημένη κυρῇ,
οὐκ ἔστιν ἄλλη φρὴν μιαιφονωτέρα.

Usually a woman is full of fear, and is not capable of looking on battle and cold steel, but when she is wronged in the bedroom there is no-one with fouller intent.
